Fees & Billing

Clear fees, no surprises.

We keep billing simple and transparent. Bulk billing is available for eligible patients — and whatever the fee, you'll always know it before you're seen.

Bulk billed

Nothing to pay

For eligible patients, Medicare covers the full cost of the consultation — there's nothing out of pocket.

  • Children and young people
  • Pensioners & concession-card holders
  • DVA card holders
  • Selected services (eligibility applies)
Private / mixed

A small gap

For other consultations there's a fee. Medicare rebates a portion straight back to you, leaving a modest out-of-pocket gap.

  • The fee is explained to you before your appointment
  • Your Medicare rebate is processed on the spot
  • Longer & complex consults are billed accordingly
You'll never be surprised by a bill.

Not sure whether you're bulk billed, or what a visit will cost? Just ask reception when you book — we're always happy to explain it clearly, before your appointment.

Medicare & care plans

If you're managing a longer-term condition, your GP can prepare a chronic disease management (care) plan.

  • Medicare-subsidised allied health visits (physio, podiatry, dietetics)
  • Mental Health Treatment Plans for psychology
  • Ask your GP whether a plan is right for you

Payment & telehealth

Pay easily on the day, in person or after a telehealth consult. Telehealth is billed the same way as an in-person visit.

Good to know

Billing questions, answered.

Is Sirius Health bulk billing?
Bulk billing is available for eligible patients — including children, pensioners, DVA and concession-card holders with a valid Medicare card. Other consultations are privately billed with a small gap, and you're always told the fee before you're seen.
What's the difference between bulk billing and mixed billing?
Bulk billing means Medicare covers the full cost and there's nothing to pay. Mixed (private) billing means there's a fee, part of which Medicare rebates back to you, leaving a small out-of-pocket gap.
Do I get the Medicare rebate straight away?
Yes — we process your rebate on the spot where your bank details are registered with Medicare, so it's usually back in your account within a day or two.
Are allied health services covered by Medicare?
With a care plan from your GP, Medicare subsidises a set number of allied health visits each year — such as physiotherapy, podiatry or dietetics. Otherwise allied health is privately billed.
How much does telehealth cost?
Telehealth is billed the same way as an in-person consultation — bulk billed for eligible patients, otherwise privately billed with a Medicare rebate. Eligibility criteria apply.
